Galen7 has been developed by Richard Cherry and Andrew Hayes after a chance meeting in 2001 when they discovered they had a similar vision for a viable and dynamic practice management system. Their skills complimented each other perfectly and the test version of Galen was soon underway.
Richard Cherry – Managing Director
Richard qualified from The London Hospital in 1967, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1992 and a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1997. Richard has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Management since 1980 and has long experience in healthcare computing since writing his first computer programme in 1965
Andrew Hayes – IT Director
Helen Whewell – Project Manager
Helen qualified as a physiotherapist from The London Hospital in 1968 and went on to manage physio services in the North of Scotland until 1997 when she became head of the northern office for the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO). Helen has extensive experience of project management and served for many years on the Highland Health Board
Allen Evans – Senior Web Applications Manager
Allen qualified from Loughborough University with Bsc(Hons) in Computer Science and joined UHCW NHS Trust. After 4 years of developing clinical web based applications, including further development of the Trust's clinical results system, Richanha Tec Ltd recruited Allen to implement the next generation of Galen7. With a programming background spanning 15 years, and many notable successful implemented applications, Allen has the skills and ability needed to meet the changing requirements of our customers.
